Wendy Herbert, M.M. received her Master of Music degree in Flute Performance from the University of Southern California, Thornton School of Music. She is active as an Inland Empire flute performer, clinician, instructor, and adjudicator. Her studio offers instruction to musicians of all ages, from beginner through advanced levels. Each year, students are given the opportunity to participate in a free fall workshop, a solo recital, and an ensemble recital.
Her students have performed in the Claremont Young Musicians Orchestra, Intermezzo Orchestra, Claremont Youth Symphony Orchestra, All-Southern Honor Band, and many others. Graduates of her studio have attended Harvard, Dartmouth, Stanford, UCLA, UCBerkeley, and many other universities.
A member of Music Teachers' Association of California, Ms. Herbert offers the Certificate of Merit music curriculum to those students who wish to enroll. The program gives young musicians a thorough grounding in technique, performance practice, and knowledge of music theory.
